The Federal Government has joined the investigation into Michael Jackson's death, at the LAPD's request. Evidence now has surfaced that Michael was using painkillers, sedatives and antidepressants.
"In this business, the pressures and things that you go through, you never know what one turns to," Jermaine Jackson, Michael's brother, said.
Asked if he would be shocked or surprised if Michael's drug use was
proven, Jermaine Jackson said, "I would be hurt." He said he had heard
about prescription drug use in the 1980s when his brother was hurt in
an accident filming a commercial but did not know if drug use was a
possibility more recently. "I don't know about these things, because I hate anything with
drugs," he said, adding that it hurts the family for people to say
things about drug use "because we don't know."
Psychic entertainer Uri Geller, a former Jackson confidant, said he
tried to keep Jackson from abusing painkillers and other prescription
drugs, but others in the singer's circle kept him supplied.
If all these people knew Michael had a problem with drugs, how come no one tried to stop him?
By now you have heard the strange terms of Michael's Will, naming Katherine Jackson, his mother, as children's guardian, with
entertainer Diana Ross named
successor guardian if something happens to his mother. Jackson's lawyer John Branca and family friend John McClain, a music
executive, were named in the will as co-executors of his estate. In a
statement, they said the most important element of the will was
Jackson's steadfast desire that his mother become the legal guardian
for his children.
The will doesn't name father Joe Jackson to any position of
authority in administering the estate. Also shut out is ex-wife Debbie
Rowe, the mother of his two oldest children. The mother of his youngest child is a surrogate and is unkown.
Weren't he and Diana Ross in The Wiz together? Seemed like Michael always lived in some bizarre fantasy land.
A court will ultimately decide who the children's legal guardian will be. Especially now that there all these rumors that Michael isn't actually the father to these children. And no one is denying these rumors, just saying that they belong in the Jackson family.
I have a feeling this Will is going to be tied up in litigation for a long time. If someone can prove that Michael was on drugs at the time he wrote that Will, they can argue he was not of sound mind.
Debbie Rowe, the mother of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11, spoke to her
former attorney Iris Finsilver, who says, "She is going to be pursuing
custody of the children."
"Frankly, she won't have to fight for them," "She is the children's biological mother. She loves her
children." Debbie also said she'd be willing to take custody of Blanket to keep the
three children together, and she may seek a restraining order to keep
her former father-in-law, Joe Jackson, away from her children.
