ulia Louis-Dreyfus has a really long hyphenated name. This proved to be a problem for the Hollywood Walk of Fame folk when they whipped up her new star.
The star of ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine’ and ‘Seinfeld‘
received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star yesterday. Unfortunately, the people who made the star misspelled her name.
The name on Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s brand spanking new star was missing the ‘o’ and the hyphen.
Oopsy!!
The press rep for the Hollywood Walk of Fame reportedly “almost puked” in her car when she was told about the mistake.
Lucky for them, the gaff was noticed before the unveiling ceremony and Julia has a great sense of humor. When Louis-Dreyfus was told about the mistake she thought “it was hysterical”. She asked that the spelling mistake be left as is, but workers had already chiseled out the error and replaced it with a temporary “Louis-” in its place.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus will be presented the “Luis” to keep as a memento. I’m sure she will treasure it forever.
Look really closely at the star. You can see the new “Louis-” has a different sheen.
