Where in the world is Matt Lauer? Not at home, that’s for sure—his wife kicked his ass to the curb.
Rumor has it that Matt went wild while on location in Vancouver covering the Winter Olympics, even blowing off Valentine’s Day plans to continue his romp. As should be expected, this prompted his wife of 12 years, Annette, to send him packing.
This isn’t the first split for the couple, who briefly separated in 2006 while Annette was pregnant with their third child. Matt and Annette have three children together: Jack, 8, and Romy, 6 and Thijs, 2. I’m sorry to report that I have no clue how you’re supposed to pronounce that last one.
My guess is this Vancouver incident isn’t Matt’s first offense, particularly given this statement from his ex-wife Nancy: “I heard he and Annette are breaking up. I was not shocked to hear that, but it’s very sad.” Sounds to me like somebody has a problem keeping his little anchorman in his pants.
