Y’all, I’m within an hour from Nashville, so I love me a good country rumor.

“I don’t know if it is because it has been awhile since I had a blind item about country music singers or the fact of who this is about, but I love this one. Two country singers. The male is A++ list. Married. To a celebrity. Can’t say too much about the wife or it would totally give it away. The other singer is a woman. Probably a B list in the country singing world. Maybe that is just because of her name recognition though. She is also in a significant relationship. Anyway, the two have known each other for a few years. They met in a meeting if you know what I mean. Her for one reason and him for another. The next thing you know, they are trying to arrange tour dates close to each other and meeting at a place in Nashville when his wife is out of town. She has said the sex is kind of boring and quiet but really likes him and feels sorry for him. What about your boyfriend or his wife? I wonder if she feels sorry for them.”

Oooooh, dawgie!

I’m gonna say:

  • Tim McGraw .. cause the mention of his uber famous wife would totally give it away.
  • Trisha Yearwood .. she’s in a marriage, she’s definitely B-list in the country circles (mostly because she hasn’t recorded for awhile), but she’s got HELLA name recognition.

    No way Keith Urban is quiet in bed. Tim McGraw I buy. Maybe the chick is Michelle Branch – she has name recognition but not through country music as much…Hmmm…

    My vote for the guy is Brad Paisley. Since he said “celebrity” and not that she is another music star, that puts Tim McGraw out for me. And I bet Tim is a freak in the bed. Brad Paisley seems like he might be more lackluster.
    The chick? Not a dang clue, as I don’t follow country closely enough to pick out a B-lister.

    Keith Urban only has 4 tour dates coming up and only person he is playing with is John Mayer. Brad Paisley had lots of upcoming tour dates, but is playing with Darius Rucker. Tim McGraw has lots of upcoming tour dates and Lady Antebellum has been opening for him regularly. Hmmm. That would make me really sad if it was Tim McGraw.

    Y’all are GENIUSES. Seriously, I read these and I get overwhelmed and over think it and you? Are BRILLIANT. I never would’ve thought of Keith Urban .. and him being in rehab … this is why y’all probably excelled at Clue while I just played with the miniature candleabra.

    Highly doubt it’s Trisha… Trisha is classic, was A-list in her own right, considered to be one of the “new classics” along w/ hubby, Alan, Clint, etc. Plus, she and Garth haven’t been based out of Nashville in awhile… they’ve lived retired in OK but he’s doing a Vegas thing now. They don’t really have a reason to be in Nashville for any time, since neither has recorded in awhile.
    OK, since I know I’m gonna have to specify this, I’m not a Garth stalker. Jeez, it’s sad I have to claim that… and even sadder that I doubt anyone will believe me…
    I’m thinking the girl is one of these newer, couple of hits types that the buzz just dies down about, or that keep their name up by other means (Sara Evans, great singer, couple of hits, not really a HUGE country star, but widely known for leaving Dancing W/ the Stars due to a cheating hubby who hit the tabloids big-time).

    For the girl, maybe Mindy McCready? She was on Celebrity Rehab so it makes sense that she might be in an AA/NA recovery meeting.

    Keith Urban finished rehab at least a year ago. Mindy McReady much more recently (has she actually finished? She was a hot mess, I know that much.). I think we need to look at current/upcoming tours. Definitely would suck if Tim McGraw…but it would suck, no matter who.
