Lindsay Lohan failed a court ordered drug test. Or many, depending on which source you read. Raise your hand if you are surprised. She could be headed back to jail since her probation order says any missed or positive test would result in a 30 day incarceration. I, for one, CAN NOT WAIT, for her excuse.
The rumor is she was positive for cocaine. Did someone drop cocaine in her urine? It was someone else’s urine? The testing facility messed up? Something to do with ADHD drugs? She was taking cocaine for ADHD? She was PRESCRIBED COCAINE? It was in celebration of Rosh Hashanah?
After the news hit the press, Lindsay tweeted, (what is it with celebrities and twitter? I really want to tell them it is an admission that can be used against you in court.)
“Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result.”
She followed up with several more tweets.
Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future.
This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.
I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard, but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful….Thank you all!!!
Does that mean no made up excuses? Whatever will I write about?
Of course, the tweet came after she lied, saying, at first, “I’m fine,” she said; when asked about the TMZ story, she responded, “They’re all nuts.” I’m not exactly sure where the change of heart came from. Undeniable proof?
After her tweet-admission, Lindsay went to synagogue in observance of Yom Kippur. As did I. Although I suspect Lindsay had a little bit more to atone for.
Lindsay’s friends are now saying she finally gets it and she is ready to reform, and that she is “beating herself up over this.” My question is, is she beating herself up for doing drugs again or getting caught? Because when you are being subject to twice weekly urinalysis you pretty much know you are going to get caught.
A hearing on the violation of probation has not been set yet.
Maybe Dina Lohan will go back on the Today Show. Because that, would be awesome.
