I just shot Diet Coke out of my nose. Kathy Griffin owes me a new laptop.
Kathy Griffin opened up the VH1 Divas Salute the Troops concert Friday night, showing off her ‘Starvation Body’ in a bikini. And true to form, she took her jokes to places few comedians are willing to go – she joked about Bristol Palin’s weight on Dancing With the Stars. ”She’s the only contestant in the history of the show to actually gain weight,” Kathy said as the troops loudly booed. ”No, come on, come on,” she continued. “She gained like 30 pounds a week, I swear to God, it was fantastic. She’s like the white Precious.”
Last year, Kathy “dated” Levi Johnston and joked that she was pregnant with his baby. She told a reporter earlier this year how she stays thin. ”It’s frustration and starvation,” she said. “I’m cranky all the time and I’m hungry all the time.”
After the fat joke fell flat, she moved on to jokes about Jessica Simpson and brought Jersey Shore’s Snooki and The Situation onstage. Say what you will about Kathy, but she’s blunt and says it like it is and I like those kind of folk. She doesn’t pick on any one group of people, she picks on everyone. Not everyone finds her funny, but me, I want to get drunk with her. I got first round!

I hope people didn’t have to pay money to hear her negativity and criticisms.” Huh. Isn’t she the same person who just snarked on KD Lang and the Indigo Girls?
