Kim Kardashian Sex Tape Vs. Teen Moms

Round One goes to Kim Kardashian: Kim Kardashian believes the ever popular show Teen Mom is a negative one for teenage girls. She spoke out saying that teenagers shouldn’t see young girls like Amber Portwood as celebrities to idolize.

Round Two goes to Teen Moms’ Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans: They fired back pointing out that Miss Kim has a sex tape floating about and that teen pregnancy has dropped since the show has been on the air.

Round Three is a Tie: Kim went on to say that at 16, the last thing she would have ever done was have a baby. Really? You’d make a sex tape, have sex, do the things that might create a baby……but……

Amber and Jenelle are saying that teen pregnancy has dropped and they are showing how difficult being a teen mom is. But Amber just got pregnant again. Perhaps she doesn’t watch the show to see how hard being a Teen Mom really is? Fail.

Can we call it a draw and say the whole, “Pot calling the kettle black,” thing?

Dayum. I just don’t think Jenelle and Amber were the best ones to be responding to Kim what with their court issues and all. Where was Maci or Farrah?

I’ll throw in my two cents on their debate though. I think Teen Mom shows a side that you don’t get from the magazines and all the photos. While the fact that they are on the show means they get to do spreads in OK and People, what is actually shown on the show is real life, and I think that’s what kids need to see.

  My thoughts exactly, Beckie… why wouldn’t they go with one of the girls who are actually trying (or at least pretending) to better their lives in this situation, instead of the pair with felony charges?

Well… I do think that they should have real people instead of paid actors. But I feel like instead of having young girls think that it is hard and tough to be a teen mom, they interpret the message as being ok and idolizing. when they should learn from what the teen moms are going through. I know it is difficult being a mom, specially of your a teen and single parent, but if being pregnant makes you a celebrity now a days, Then I don’t know what the world has come to these days
