Troy Aikman to Divorce

Former Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback and current Fox football analyst Troy Aikman and his wife Rhonda are separating after 10 years of marriage.  They have two daughters together and Rhonda has a daughter from a previous marriage.

“This has been a difficult decision for Rhonda and me, but after 10 years of marriage we have decided to separate,” he said in a statement.  “We remain deeply committed to our children and respectfully ask that you honor our family’s privacy during this period of adjustment.”

I’m kind of wondering why he didn’t wait until AFTER the Super Bowl to make this announcement.  Being that Fox has the Super Bowl, this is actually relevant RIGHT NOW.  Otherwise, I’m not sure anyone would have cared.  It is almost like he is trying to make news.

So, anyway, any predictions for the after Super Bowl Glee episode?  I miss Glee.  It has been a really long time.

    Whenever I see an oddly timed separation announcement I automatically think the person/s involved are trying to get out in front of some gossip story that is about to be leaked. It is strange that this would come out this week, which makes me think maybe there are some skeletons he (or she) is trying to avoid seeing the light of day.

    The report is incorrect. Troy has only been married once but Rhonda has been married twice. She has a daughter from a previous marriage. Please check your facts.

    It is the simple matter of Rhonda’s contract being over, and both parties not renewing. Rhonda was the team’s publicist, and knew exactly what she was getting into. (And by team, I mean football team… not you-know-what team.)

    Hmmm…if Troy is supposedly gay, why isn’t anyone talking to Lori Morgan? She is hot and weren’t they an item for a while? Seems like she could shed some light on the subject. Don’t care one way or the other if he is or not, he still was one of the best.

    My, my… Lori and Troy were an item, and often photographed together. Goll, gee, that means they had a sexual relationship! Conclusive proof!
