Kate Middleton and Prince William Englands Long National Heirless Nightmare Is Over: Kate Middleton Is Finally Pregnant

Okay, so it’s only been about 7 months since the wedding, but HASN’T BRITAIN SUFFERED LONG ENOUGH?

According to In Touch Magazine (rated semi-trustworthy-ish on a scale of 10 somewhere between OK Magazine (6) and The National Enquirer (2)), the jig is already up. And by that I mean, HOUSTON, WE HAVE ROYAL IMPREGNATION.

Well, maybe.

in touch cover kate baby Englands Long National Heirless Nightmare Is Over: Kate Middleton Is Finally PregnantIn Touch has learned that Kate is around six weeks pregnant with their first child — and she and William couldn’t be more relieved. “Since before they even got married, it’s been made clear to William and Kate that having children should be their number-one priority,” a royal source reveals, adding that Queen Elizabeth II, in particular, has been dropping so many hints about wanting a great-grandchild — and an heir to the throne — that Kate feared she wouldn’t be able to face her without baby news.

According to the palace insider (who has correctly revealed other royal secrets, including their honeymoon location and the queen’s wedding gift to Kate), Kate is definitely pregnant — and is preparing accordingly. Not just one royal nursery — but three of them — are in the works: one in Nottingham Cottage, where Kate and William have been staying, another in their home in Wales and yet another at Kensington Palace, which is undergoing a major refurbishment.

And even though Kate is early in the first trimester, they’re said to have already picked names. “They want something traditional,” the source hints. “Edward, Philip and Michael are likely choices for a boy, or Alice or Rose for a girl.” Understandably, Kate and William want to give their little one a name that’s fit for a king — or preferably, a queen. Since rules were updated so that the firstborn child of the prince wouldn’t have to be male to inherit the throne, William, in particular, is said to be secretly hoping for a daughter. “He’s very much his mother’s son, and he also knows that his father, Prince Charles, would like a granddaughter,” the insider explains, adding that Kate agrees. “She’s happiest when William is happy.”

All well and good, but what about the obvious name “Diana”? Okay, so Queen Liz may not approve, but the woman was William’s mum, and a princess. A beloved one, at that. And after all, when it all comes down to it, isn’t this about William being happy? [insert retching]

Just sayin’.

OUR LONG INTERNATIONAL NIGHTMARE IS OVER.

I mean, seriously, Katie, TICK TOCK.

SRSLY. She’d better start pumping out babies ASAP. And they’d better have dangly bits. OR OFF WITH HER HEAD!

I don’t think Diana is a good idea.  I think they may want to leave it as Diana, The One & Only. The End.  Congrats to them, they are very cute.  But I hate to think that one be under pressure to procreate.  That creeps me out.

I saw this line:  “England’s Long National Heirless Nightmare Is Over”….and accidentally mis-read it as HAIRLESS Nightmare.  Thought perhaps William had gone and gotten himself some hairplugs or something.

I’d think giving a baby the name of someone who died in a horrific way is kind of a curse. Maybe as a middle name!

I would be willing to wager money that if they ever have a female child, that little girl is going to have Diana as one of her middle names. I would also be willing to wager money that the little girl will have MANY middle names– William and Harry do and it’s kind of the royal “thing”.

I’m not surprised if the news is true- they had such a long courtship that I imagine the pressure they’re under is ridiculously intense. I would also not be surprised if it eventually came out that before they ever married both of them underwent testing to ensure everything was in working order with a high probability of fertility. Sad that that’s the case, but then again, Kate didn’t HAVE to get into this whole ball-game so I guess I can’t feel too sad about it.

England should be giving her total props.  They say it takes the “average” woman 11 months to get pregnant.  That alone should give the baby an extra title, or at least a crown that won’t scratch the you know what out of it!! Congrats, in all seriousness a baby is an absolute gift, best wishes to them all.

    I hope she’s Angelina-pregnant and not Aniston-pregnant, In Touch.

I’m surprised she gets a $1 million push present.  I would have thought getting to keep her head was push present enough.  Or is that the previous William (the 8th) and Kate (of Aragon)?

Oh, my bad, that was Henry VIII.
