Say it ain’t so.

Rumors have been a swirlin’ that Katy Perry and Russell Brand were on the rocks. Seems there is truth to those rumors.

Brand has filed for divorce from Perry.  They were married in October 2010 and have no children.

I knew things were not good when they spent Christmas apart, but in my heart of hearts, I refused to believe that these two crazy kids couldn’t make it work.  They always seemed so genuinely fond of each other.

Let’s hope this is the final break-up for 2011.  I don’t think my heart could take another split.

    I feel like maybe this is one of those ‘lost in translation’ scenarios. American girls are impressed by a Brit who can ‘make them laugh’ as if it were unique – it isn’t go to UK there are heaploads of such lads. Also I feel sometimes american girls love the Brit accent too much and don’t realize when a guy is a total wierdo – i mean have you read his bio where he slept with 5000 women and was a drug addict and was seriously fucked up. Might have been a red light there Katy!

      I dunno; he has been a recovered addict for years.  My father is a recovered addict, so they can totally be great husbands and fathers.  I love Brand. I think he is clever and irreverent.

    Man, this genuinely bums me out. Although, it seemed doomed from the start. I mean, it seems like they’ve only been photographed together a handful of times this past year. It’s a lot of work, this marriage thing. Still. Man, too bad.

    Been doing some reading. Rumors are Russell filed in agreement with Katy – because her parents are evangelicals and she didn’t want to be the one to file and upset them or something? Huh.

      You’s think if you are old enough to get married, you are old enough to live life on your terms and not live to please your parents, but that is just me.
