Have you seen the Texts From Hillary Tumblr yet? I mean, I’m sure you have, since it was launched a whole SIX DAYS AGO, on THURSDAY. We’re talking old-skool meme-business here, obvs.
Yeah, it’s another one of those photo-pane-caption memes, with Madam Secretary Hillary Clinton playing the role of a total texting badass honey badger type. It’s pretty damn funny.
Texting Hillary tends to mock Zuckerburg a lot, remain unimpressed with Beyonce’s new Tumblr and Lady Gaga, and stirs up all sorts of other political/pop-culture trouble, presumably because she just likes to watch the world burn.
If this the first time you’ve heard of it, SORRY, but the thing has already come completely, zeitgeist-y full-circle in a matter of days, as HILLARY HERSELF already went and submitted her own version to the site’s creators, Adam Smith and Stacy Lambe:
Whhhhaaaaaat? Are you kiddddddding me???? went the entire Internet, particularly anyone currently running a Ryan Gosling Hey Girl tumblr who still hasn’t managed to meet him or date him or get pulled from oncoming traffic by him yet. GOD. *quits Internet* *slams door*
What’s more, just to prove that Real Life Hillary is every bit as awesome as Imaginary Texting Hillary, she invited the guys to meet her at the State Department, as she was “quite smitten” with the blog.
She presented them with a hard-copy, autographed version of her submission, thanking them for the many “LOLZ.”
And with that, the curators of a million different F*ck Yeah <Insert Celebrity> tumblrs all cried out at once in seething, horrible jealousy, and were suddenly silenced by the realizations that 1) they better stick with their day job for a little while longer, and 2) NO ONE will ever be as cool as Hillary Clinton just proved herself to be.
Damn straight, girlfriend.
