Summertime concerts are in full swing, and a few of our favorite entertainers are stopping at nothing to ensure that they make headlines. (Or, at least that seems to be what Madonna is doing. No word on whether Rick Springfield has any planned wardrobe malfunctions.) Madge was in Istanbul last week when she decided to kick things up a notch. Unfortunately, her back-o-tricks has not been replenished in quite some time, so we simply got another view of her right tit.
Ho-hum. It’s not like you have a toddler attached to it or anything, Madonna.
The 53-year-old performer was singing Human Nature, a hit from 1995 that I cannot recall for the life of me, when she started disrobing. First it was her shirt, and then she opened a flap of her bedazzled nursing bra. Which…now that I think about it…maybe this is Madonna’s way of supporting breastfeeding! She’s a middle-aged single mom! Why else would she flash her bits and pieces for the world to see, thereby setting a poor example for her maturing daughter and precious little boys?
Eh, don’t answer that.

Lady Gaga is also making rounds, and had a bit of an incident during her New Zealand show just last night. In the middle of a performance of Judas, a backup dancer picked up what appears to be a large metal pole and moved it, accidentally bonking the performer directly on the top of the head.
Holy OUCH. The crazy bit is that Gaga shrugged it off, and continued the show to finish something like 16 more songs. At one point, she addressed the crowd, stating that she thought she had a concussion, apologized (WTF?), and promised to finish. Later, after the show ended, Lady Gaga’s makeup artist sent out a tweet confirming that the pop star did, in fact, have a concussion, but that’s she is doing fine and still loves everyone, naturally.
Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay. She wants u to know she loves u. I’m taking care of her. Can’t believe she finished the show.
I guess this includes the moron that knocked her upside the head, but that part is not clear.
And, finally, there seem to be rumors swirling about a possible collaboration between Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and The White Stripes’ Jack White. The Bonnaroo Music Festival, which finished up just yesterday in Manchester, Tennessee, featured Radiohead as one the headlining acts. At one point, before performing “Supercollider”, Thom said to the crowd:
This song is for Jack White. We saw him yesterday. A big thank you to him, but we can’t tell you why. You’ll find out.
Both Thom and Jack have an extensive list of former collaborations between the two of them, including acts like the Insane Clown Posse, Bjork, and PJ Harvey, so it wouldn’t be no big thang for these two to be joining forces. If anything, it could be pretty epic.
As someone who once ditched school to take the train into NYC with plans of emptying my pathetic checking account in order to buy scalped tickets to Radiohead’s “OK Computer” tour AND as someone who has finally given up on hating Jack White on principle alone, I must say I’m fairly to moderately excited to see what these two might be able to come up with.
What do you think, are ages three and five too young for a first concert? My boys love to rock out, you see. Sure, they may not remember much, but what if it’s bound to be life-altering? I’ll bring earplugs?
