Trouble in Sparkleland! KStew and RPattz! OMG Bella and Edward and stuff!
This week’s edition of Us Weekly claims to have photos of Kristen Stewart “in a series of steamy rendezvous” and a “marathon makeout session” with married father-of-two Rupert Sanders, who directed Snow White & the Huntsman. From the sound of it, multiple photographers witnessed the canoodling and got snaps for the tabloids.
Kristen is 22, Rupert is 41, and oh yeah, his wife is British Vogue model Liberty Ross. They have a seven-year-old and a five-year-old.
Yick.
Rupert Sanders’ the guy in the puffy coat. Kristen Stewart’s the one posing like Kristen Stewart.
Here’s the thing: back when Kristen and Robert first “got together” I was utterly, completely convinced it was a load of bullshit and manipulated by the movie studio to help hype the Twilight movies. Not that Kristen was bearding for RPattz or anything, just that the whole “love affair” seemed weird and too conveniently timed to the movie’s PR pushes. I predicted they’d break up immediately after the final movie was released.
I started doubting my own insane conspiracy theory after awhile, though, since they did seem like a pretty genuine couple who shared a penchant for looking grouchy and miserable and blah blah I hate being faaaaamous and Twilight suuuuucks and okay fiiiiine take our picture while we glare at you.
NOW I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO THINK. FIRST TOMKAT AND NOW THIS. I JUST WANT TO BELIEVE IN LOVE, YOU GUYS.
People is covering the same story, and managed to get some quotes from “sources” who admit that yes, Kristen and Rupert did indeed hook up, but it was just a one-time fling and it’s over now.
“Kristen is absolutely devastated,” says one source. “It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment.”
“She wasn’t having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn’t have happened,” says the source. “She never meant to hurt anyone. She’s a good person who just made a bad choice.”
The reps for everyone involved all have yet to make a comment, but apparently Rupert’s wife made some “mysterious” postings to her Twitter and Instagram right before locking everything down as private.
A photo that Ross reportedly posted on her Instagram account has also been floating around on social media. The post, which features a photo of a drunken Snow White, reads: “Not so pretty or so pure after all …..”
DUN DUN DUUUUUN.
UPDATE: Kristen has issued a public apology to Rob!
I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.
