Bret McKenzie And Jemaine Clement Prove Laughter Is The Best Medicine With New Flight of the Conchords Song

In honor of Red Nose Day — a major fundraiser for SIDS and Kids in their native New Zealand and in Australia — beloved Flight of the Conchords troubadours Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement produced a new song and video for the first time in three years, “Feel Inside (and stuff like that)”. It should go without saying that both are, of course, completely and totally awesome:

What rhymes with ‘bitter’? SNORT.

Watching those two interact with kids makes me love them EVEN MORE. I didn’t even think that was possible, but yes, apparently it is.

We miss you, Bret and Jemaine. *sniff*

It’s partly due to PMS, but this made me have all kinds of FEELINGS in my eyes.

Hello, New Zealander here. You might have noticed that our accents are… Um… hard to understand at times. They asked the kids “what rhymes with better” and the kids answered “Feta!”. I totally get that “better” sounds like “bitter”. I totally get that after having lived in America where people made such a effort to understand me but were still left wondering where the hell I was from and why I keep insisting that English is my first language when it clearly isn’t.

HAHA! Thanks for the correction! I think I probably wanted to believe he was asking a kid what rhymes with ‘bitter.’ :)

Also I can forgive any accent, no matter how thick – particularly when your country is SO. FREAKING. GORGEOUS. I r jus jelus.

    I second that emotion. *sob*

There is an Arrested-Development-shaped hole in my heart for these two. God, they are the best EVER.

This makes me so happy, I’m not sure how to express it. Love how Bret kept asking the one little girl if she liked the Muppet songs and that neither of them could keep an entirely straight face with some of the kids’ answers.
