This week on Chelsea Lately, it’s all about her new, larger studio and all sorts of awesome celebrity guests that are stopping by to see it. Personally, I don’t watch Chelsea Lately. Chelsea Handler is funny enough, but honestly if I can stay away from the E! network, I take every opportunity to do so. (Except for The Soup. That show is still the bees’ knees.)
Lucky for me, it means I missed this train wreck that Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz provided.
I might be alone in saying this, but I can’t stand these two. The fact that they got together and decided to do something “funny” for Chelsea Lately? And filmed it with a cell phone camera? And it TOTALLY WASN’T FUNNY?
[cue explosions of awesomeness]
This really only served as a reminder of where their careers have gone as of late. Let’s examine, shall we?

How can I be “funny”? I know! I’LL RAP! Maybe I can pretend I’m the newest Beastie Boy! IT’LL MAKE THE WORLD LAUGH FOR HOURS.
Dear, dear Gwyneth. When not writing an occasional post for her site, goop.com, such as this summer’s “The Hampton’s Guide” (which I’m sure we ALL needed to read – who DOESN’T summer in the Hamptons?), Gwyneth has been busy working on her “films”, of which four of the most recent eight have been as “Pepper Potts” in Iron Man-related movies. So…yeah. Her calendar has been REALLY FULL lately, guys. I’m surprised she found time out of her day to be so giving for Chelsea’s show.
And Ms. Diaz. I’m so glad to her career has finally blossomed past the point of voicing Princess Fiona of Shrek fame, and moved into Biz Markie’s territory. It’s understandable that Cameron’s looking into other areas of interest, since her last few movies (What To Expect While You’re Expecting and Bad Teacher) scored fewer than 6 out of 10 stars on IMDB. Maybe acting really isn’t her gig? Beatboxing, however, may not be the better move. Nor is making her own decisions for her hair, as evidenced by the video above and a recent photo with none other than her BFF Gwyneth.

Um, Cameron? You’ve got some hair in your face…and you’re wearing my meemaws’ jumpsuit.
Listen, I know that when we non-celebs are hanging out, we’ll record silly videos when we’re wasted and they’re the funniest thing ever. Generally, those videos stay in our phones, occasionally go on Facebook, or are otherwise used in blackmail attempts. Let there be a lesson learned from Cameron and Gwyneth – KEEP IT ON THE CELL PHONE. Not everyone thinks you’re as funny as you do.
