So which celebrity power couple are sporting matching Theodore Roosevelt quotation tattoos?
Could it be political pundit James Carville and his lovely wife Mary Matalin? Republican gadfly Clint Eastwood and wife Dina Eastwood, ersatz star of reality show Mrs. Eastwood & Company? Maybe Barrack and Michelle got toasted one night, slipped security, and hopped the Red Line up to Adams Morgan. Next thing you know, hilarious Rough Rider tattoos and a champagne headache in the morning.
Give up? It’s Liam Hemsworth of Hunger Games fame and Miley Cyrus of “OMG, what did she do to her hair?” renown.
Cyrus’ tattoo (top arm) reads “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory or defeat.” Hemsworth’s tattoo echoes the sentiment: “If he fails, at least fails while daring greatly”.
Huh. A little more wordy than “Just do it”, but okay.
Everyone else is doing tattoo ex-girlfriends, Chinese symbols, and Egyptian goddesses. But, as November 6 draws near, what better time to drop some Presidential science along your upper arm or inner thigh? This quote would make a great tramp stamp:
Maybe for someone with a guilty conscience.
Anyway, I thought of a few more presidential quotes that would make great ink, along with the recently newsworthy celebrities who should get them.
“I still believe in a place called Hope.”
Lindsay Lohan must call dibs on this one by President Clinton. Before Amanda Bynes grabs it.
“You are the most powerful cultural force in the world.”
Another gem from Clinton. Perfect for Kim Kardashian. I’m thinking cleavage level.
“I have zero desire, just so you know, to be in the limelight.”
I doubt Adele will tat herself with a Daddy Bush quote. But she recently said something similar. Eerily similar.
“If you could kick the person in the pants most responsible for your trouble, you wouldn’t sit for a month.”
Dear Hulk Hogan, if you don’t want an x-rated sex tape of you and your friend’s wife to hit a million Internet views, then don’t make an x-rated sex tape of you and your friend’s wife. Sincerely, Teddy Roosevelt.
“Sure it’s a big job. But I don’t know anyone who can do it better than I can.”
That’s JFK for Felix Baumgartner. Dude jumped from space into a freefall that broke the sound barrier. Skillz.
Another T. Roosevelt quote that would make a great ironic tattoo for South Korean rapper Psy:
“Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or leave the country.”
American kids sent Psy’s Korean-lyric Gangnam Style into iTunes number one spot over English-lyric singing Justin Beiber. Shingihan!
And finally, some words of wisdom from President Richard M. Nixon for another young celebrity couple:
“Well, I screwed it up real good, didn’t I” and “Any lady who is first lady likes being first lady. I don’t care what they say, they like it.”
Perfect tattoos for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, respectively. Don’t ya think?
