Today is my last post at MamaPop.
Okay, so I wrote that, and then I may have hidden in the bathroom and cried for a minute or 60 before continuing. MamaPop has been my writing home on the internet for more than four years. I don’t just think of Tracey and Amy as my bosses—they’re my big sisters. I consider all of our writers and many of you readers to be dear friends. Quite honestly, I do not know how to do this, except to turn to the only way I know how to deal with sad things: emotional torture on YouTube.
So here are some of the most gut-wrenching farewells I could find to express how much I’m going to miss this place.
Golden Girls
Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion. BTW, there is a little Farewell to Bea Arthur at the end of this clip just to dig the knife in even further.
Cheers
Sam and Diane say goodbye. Diane says she’ll be back in six months, but Sam knows better.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Evil Angel plans to open the gates of hell, and the world will end if he succeeds. Buffy is finally ready to kill Angel, but then Willow’s spell restores Angel’s soul. With the portal opening and Angel’s death being the only way to stop it, Buffy must slay the love of her life…with a kiss. (Starts at 6:00)
Six Feet Under
This list would not be complete without the gut-wrenchingest goodbye ever on television: Claire leaves the Fisher home to go to New York and then everybody dies. I start crying when Claire tearfully thanks her mother, Ruth, for giving her life, and then I don’t stop until about 5 minutes after the credits roll.

Bye, you guys.
