Django Unchained was another awesome Tarantino film. So happy to see it win a few awards!

      Ditto that!

  • Annabelle Archer

“It came true.” I vomited a little.

Thank you. I thought that was totally rehearsed and completely obnoxious.

      • Rachel

Every speech of hers this awards season has sounded like she is reading lines. Stop faking humility!! That’s not how it works Anne!

I have never been an Anne hater, but last night, I seriously wanted to punch her in the face. She is trying entirely too hard to be Sally Field. And it isn’t working.

          • SuzyQuzey

Her entire speech was very well-rehearsed.

          • JLM

Seriously? Your complaint about Anne Hathaway is that she rehearsed her speech? If I was even remotely in the running for an oscar, you better believe I would rehearse the hell out of a speech. How is that a valid criticism? I do not get the Anne-hate.

          • SuzyQuzey

You make some interesting assumptions about my simple comment. I don’t hate Anne Hathaway.

    ADELE!! I LURVE YOU.
Also I just adore Jennifer Lawrence. She’s just so, human.

Saw some of Jennifer Lawrence’s backstage interview on Good Morning America this morning and I love her even more. After Jack Nicholson interrupted to congratulate her, she said (jokingly), “Wow, you are being really rude.” She wins at all of the things.

      • RiotousDigits

There’s gotta be some way she could have worked “You can’t handle the truth!” into her remark about Jack being rude. George Stephanopolous probably would have fallen off his chair.

      • http://twitter.com/xotrace Tracey G-P

She was amazeballs in Silver Linings Playbook. Was totally rooting for her.

  • SuzyQuzey

I actually liked the opening, which received mixed reviews. Sure, there were a few bad jokes, but the song-and-dance stuff was delightful.

I almost forgot! My favorite moment, hands down, was Shirley Bassey singing “Goldfinger.” That is something unlikely to ever happen on a stage that huge again. Holy cats, it was awesome!

My fav moment is the Iranian news agency photoshopping sleeves onto Michelle Obama’s dress. Beautiful. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/feb/25/michelle-obama-oscars-dress-iran

FLOTUS presenting an award…what a joke.

Um, the gif of Joaquin Phoenix was from when they just showed a clip from The Master. He was embarrassed because he, like Johnny Depp, never watches his performances but was forced to at this moment. It wasn’t that he couldn’t hide his disappointment in losing.
