First, the title of this post is perhaps a bit misleading (as well as hyperbolic), as we all know that Steve Martin hasn’t aged a day since 1992. Here is a picture of Steve Martin in 1990, next to a picture of him in 2012:

Steve Martin announced yesterday that he and his wife Anne had become parents back in December. A secret Steve Martin baby! The devil’s work, I say. Nevertheless, as a veteran observer of the dad scene, I predict that Steve Martin will be a GREAT dad. After all, he’s had plenty of experience playing great dads in the movies.
We all know that being a dad means handling life’s big challenges along with the little ones. Sometimes the two are indistinguishable. In Father of The Bride, Steve Martin shows that he has the patience to deal with adversity:

So congrats, Steve Martin, on becoming a first-time father. We’d wish you luck, but the evidence clearly indicates that you won’t need it.
