It’s a proven fact that any mention of Alison Brie makes the Internet happier than a World of Warcraft player who just found a Pop Tart lodged under their thigh, but in an effort to bring down our entire society via emotional diabetes, Alison’s band, The Girls, covered “We’re Going to Be Friends” by the White Stripes in a small club in Santa Monica, California earlier this week, once again dispelling the myth that anything, even baby pandas, in this world is cuter than Allison Brie. If songs were food, Alison Brie singing THAT particular song is three Pixy Stixs soaked in Red Bull, then rolled through the awesome chunky white residue that’s always left at the bottom of a bag of Sour Patch Kids.
Oh yeah, and Tom Felton, the possibly albino kid who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, was on guitar. Because of course he was. Why wouldn’t he be? It’s not like anything else about this story is perfect. Why not just throw in one of the most reviled villains in children’s literature? Apparently the stage was too small for Bill Murray and Will Ferrell to show up and do a Harlem Shake Or Maybe the venue had fire codes that would make Katy Perry and Kate Upton scissoring a bad idea.
Early responders to the scene said that they had to treat numerous people for heart related ailments as the high-pitched “squeeing” of every person in attendance accidentally disabled or triggered their pacemakers. While this may seem like pandering to some, experts agree that it probably is.
