The first official looks at some the characters and costumes from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire are being slooooowwwly released (complete with hints, hashtags and ticking countdowns) through a complicated web of Instagram accounts, Facebook walls, websites and Fandango.com, because they KNOW you bitches are already chomping at the bit to pre-order your tickets.
And you should probably get on that, since the movie opens on…wait. Hang on. I actually should go double check that. Here it is!

Why did I think this was going to be a summer release? (Don’t answer that; we all know I’m an idiot who lives in a fantasy world of my own fangirlish making.) BUT STILL. Why are you wasting my time, marketing people? You think Imma sit here refreshing your Instagram feed for six goddamn months in hopes of maybe seeing Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee or Sam Claflin as Finnick? Or Amanda Plummer (aka Yolanda aka Honey Bunny) as Wiress? (ZOMFG!) You really think Imma do that?
Okay, you’re right. That’s exactly what Imma do. Sigh and squee and whatever. Here are the three Capitol Portraits revealed so far.
Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket:
