I know she’s one of the biggest hot messes of the decade but I still root for LL. I want her to make a huge comeback and be the best B+ actress she always was (and I mean that 100%). I’m always rooting for her.

I’d love to see both SNL and LL make some comebacks in 2012!

I was prepared to disagree with you at the top of this, because I have a psycho need to defend this show and still watch it and cry and whatnot every week. I, however, do not. Please pardon me while I overanalyze my feelings about Glee.

I felt creepy for being a tiny bit sorry that Dave lived. That was enough baggage for a wreck like me. But the marriage thing is dumb, or maybe I’m just bitter that they’re manipulating me into feeling like this is the healthiest relationship in the world — GO TEEN MARRIAGE! Which is not to say that some teen marriages don’t work and middle-aged marriages fail and SEE THIS IS MAKING ME CRAZY! And the texting thing was just too much. And I didn’t believe the Sebastian transformation until it kinda sorta panned out at regionals.

But then the texting thing, and the wreck, was just too much, and Quinn’s flipflopping between Meanie for Jesus and everyone’s bff is too. And meanwhile, oh hey, we dealt with how we feel about someone nearly dying by talking in a circle about stuff we have to look forward to. And of course this is the construct of the show — talk a little, sing and dance it out, move on, but I think it’s good to remember that there are a LOT of young people watching this show, and a lot of LGBTQ people, so maybe this would have been a good one not to rush through quite so much. They did a MUCH better job with the Brittany/Santana kiss, which was important, but clearly less weighty.

Yesterday I made a comment that never appeared. . Either I’m doing something wrong or I’m being censored. But I’ll try again today because I want to say that I love these recaps. If Miss Banshee and her mother could make their comments as voiceovers on the TV show itself, I’m sure the ratings would skyrocket!

I really wish one of these Dads would have rejected that “giving permission” tradition. It is rooted in a time where women were considered as chattel, property to be passed from one man to another. If you want to marry a girl, ask HER. /rant

I also really liked Mom and Dad Lindzi, more than even Lindzi herself, who seems sorta nicely blah.

I think we all knew Kacie was toast as soon as she said her dad is a probation officer. Probably gave Benny flashbacks to the time he was arrested for underage drinking. There’s no alcohol in jail, Ben.

Not only is Nicki a TAINTED DIVORCEE but her parents are also TAINTED DIVORCEES. It is a family full of taint. Next!

Oh, Courtney. You went full-on Girl Interrupted on Ben, and HE LIKED IT. Any even slightly sane guy would have run far, far away from you and your weird fake marriage ceremony. Holy balls!
