Aaron Sorkin, Unemployed Writer, Continues to Take Shots at Bloggers
I called you out in a post yesterday, and rubbed some salt in the wound that is Studio 60's cancellation. And yes, I've dissed you in the past for making Studio 60 too personal, for being an elitist, for having a BFA in Musical Theatre (believe me, I know what that degree is worth), and for using the word oughtn't (which, I swear, you totally made up to try to sound smart).
But in last night's episode of Studio 60 you referred to me and my blogging peeps as "angry pajama people" and the "nocturnal net brigade" and I'm just wondering, what did bloggers ever do to offend you so very much? (That is bloggers besides me, because obviously, you're making this personal now.) Is it that you're unemployed now? And we still have our blogs?
Also, by the way, I work for a living (unlike you, I currently have a job) and I do not wear pajamas all day. I am not "Brenda" in a bathrobe, as you referred to a blogger earlier this season. (Although, yes, I did once go out with my family for dinner at Pizza Hut while wearing sweat yoga pants.)
Your recent episodes of Studio 60 are so clearly a do-over for The West Wing's completely lame attempt to deal with September 11. But they haven't really impressed me.
I sincerely hope you're able to work through the anger you have toward bloggers and the world in general, and someday give us a new TV series worth watching. Aside from the blogger-hate, I really have loved Studio 60. And I think someday you will make an awesome writer.
Very truly yours,
Mrs. Davis
