Who Loves Flight Of The Conchords? I Do! I Do!
The new HBO original series Flight Of The Conchords is fan-fuckin'-tastic, people. Following two quirky New Zealand indie folk-rock musician types who relocated to NYC to try to hit the big time, the show manages to combine the understated, deadpan humor of sitcoms like The Office with the surreality of musical theater, as the characters randomly break into song throughout to hilarious effect. BEHOLD THE GLORY:
Oh HBO, its like you know my deepest heart's desires before even I consciously know them (bats eyes adoringly).
And lucky you, HBO has the full first episode available for your viewing pleasure yonder -- for one week only, so obey my will and get on that mofo rapido, ya hear?

I swear my husband and I spent the entire episode going "huh?" with the same looks on our faces that our dog gets when he hears something strange. We kept telling each other to change the channel and then something would happen that would make us bust out laughing.

It's like ... like... a white dude doin' a Prince impersonation??? And, then it's kinda *off*, but funny too, but you do sorta get that half-cocked doggie head/face thing going because you can't quite place it in your brain right. Ya know? DUR?
I'm just not feelin' the vibe-rato on this one Sweets... so sorry! (Obviously too sophisticated for me... hee hee).

Started watching, cracked a couple of smiles, and then came the music video with them dressed in the same robot costume I wore for Halloween in the 6th grade - "The distant future...the year 2000." - and I laughed so hard I swallowed my tongue.
