There is nothing wrong with trying to stay away from the paparazzi, or in this case not have a full face photograph. The problem I have is that this is the same girl that was driving along the road, pulled over, stripped off her clothes, and jumped into the ocean in full view of about 50 photographers.
Britney you need to pull it together girlfriend.

Just a wee reminder that this week is the 20th Anniversary of Shark Week on The Discovery Channel, a not-to-be-missed parade of bloody Darwinian horrors. If, like me, you're fascinated by these alien-seeming beasts of the deep, you'll wanna fix yourself some microwave popcorn and settle into the relative safety and comfort of your couch for the next several days to behold scenes such as these (after the jump, for your protection):

Here's my new celebrity obsession, Ms. Katie Holmes. I'm a serious fashion addict, so I guess it's no surprise that I'm slightly obsessed with her and her new Posh make-over. Okay be honest, am I the only one that digs her now, or are there others like me?
Check out her jacket and those shoes?! Ohhh to have millions to just frivolously spend.

I have to confess that I thought Ryan and Trista of The Bachelorette fame were not together anymore.
I know... It's shameful that I don't keep up on such things when I write for a pop culture site but you know, with so many other very important happenings in the entertainment world *coughLindsayLohan'sDUIcough*, I can't possibly keep up with every happy marriage, *coughboringcough* right?
So anyway, imagine my surprise when I read that Trista and Ryan gave birth to a baby boy, Maxwell Alston Sutter, on July 26. I thought they were all KAPUT! and they're off birthin' a baby in Vail, Colorado.
The little bachelor weighed in at 5 pounds, 3 ounces and 18 inches long and his gender was a surprise. Congrats to the Sutters!

Kate Walsh is looking pretty freaking great as she was photographed during a recent photo shoot. I'm not sure what it's for, but when I know I'll be sure to let you know. Is anyone else excited about her new show, "Private Practice"? I'm definitely TiVoing it.

A common cry from the MamaPopTalk forums re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

(Uh. I'm splitting this post now, because Hi. Spoilers.)

I just wanted to say so long, farewell to everyone, as I will no longer be writing here at MamaPop. Don't worry -- gossip will still be here, with Lena at the helm. I don't think there is any better way to say goodbye than with pictures of my favorite man candy, Christian Bale. Enjoy!

Michelle Pfeiffer is one truly gorgeous woman who must bath in, like, kitten blood. I mean seriously: how does she manage to look that good at almost FIFTY?! Michelle is pictured below at the premiere for her new movie, "Stardust" where she plays an evil witch named Lamia. The movie has a star studded cast which includes, Sienna Miller, Claire Danes, Peter O'Toole, Robert De Niro, and Ricky Gervais (love him).
Also attending the premiere of "Stardust" was Claire Danes. She is looking FIERCE in this dress. I mean WOW.

Legendary Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman died today at the age of 89. MamaPop extends our condolences to his family and friends.
Being a film dork, I'm ashamed to say that I am woefully behind on my Bergmanizing. I'll get on that. Promise.

Ah, Entourage. Besides being the obvious vehicle for tying up a few loose plot lines (except for whatever happened to the girl from the auto shop that Turtle was into and is anyone going to address that ever?), this particular episode was fantastic because the guys were all, "Movies? What movies? Don't you know that there's sex to be had?" I didn't hear the words "Medellin," "Lost in the Clouds," or "Billy Walsh" once.

Sigh. What can I say about Britney that hasn't been said before? She once again looks like holy hell, she still can't dress herself, she has yet to apply a comb to her nasty weave, and I genuinely fear for her children. Did I miss anything? Oh yeah: and from the looks of her, I'm guessing she *might* smell, ahem, not-so-fresh.

The wait for Lost's return may not be as unbearable as we thought, as long as ABC keeps giving us little tidbits of news here and there. Last week, the rumors surrounding the return of Harold Perrineau (Michael) were finally put to rest when ABC confirmed that he would be back next season.
(As expected, they offered no further details about the nature of his character's return.)
(They also said nothing about Walt---virtually unrecognizable, six-foot-tall, needing-to-shave-now Walt.)

The US Treasury is wasting tax dollars to investigate Michael Moore's going to Cuba to shoot some footage for his film Sicko.
Seriously, do they not know how many Americans go to Cuba every year?
That money could be better used to keep Dick Cheney's real head cryogenically frozen for FIVE MORE YEARS!!!
Kidding. KIDDING!!!
It's not really cryogenically frozen. It's in a jar. With some pickled eggs. Rumor has it that members of Congress get tipsy and take turns leaving it on each other's doorsteps.
