K-Fed Files Custody Papers

Just when you think she's legally in the clear, Kevin swoops in and sends his lawyers to the LA Superior Court to file primary custody papers! Could Brit's week get any worse?!? Details are still sketchy in terms of the scope of the custody "battle royal" about to begin and Brit's reaction to the news, but it's all apparently true!

Oh Kevin, Kevin, why must you try to break Brit Brit's heart again??? I know you think you stand a chance -- what with Brit's bodyguards getting into fights in Las Vegas, her making out with backup dancers on rooftops, and all the unseemly crotch and nipple shots -- but custody?

It totally sucks that Kevin won't have too hard a time convincing a judge to grant him custody. But does he deserve it? Would Kevin truly be a better parent, simply because he's already taken his turn as horrible parent in the media spotlight and passed that role on? Because really, he's not that different, is he? It was less than a year ago the papers were writing similar stories about him, and the public was clamoring for a fast divorce so Brit could get herself and her children away from that terrible man!

Spears' camp could not, of course, be reached for comment. I'm sure the battle will get super ugly, so get ready for the smack-down which will most definitely get brung!

Good point, Robyn. But I agree with Kristabella, it appears to be the lesser of two evils.

And - and maybe I just desperately want to believe it for those boys' sake - K-Fed is on the balance more used to being non-famous than he is being in the spotlight. So maybe he has a better clue as to how to provide some "normalcy" than Britney does. He's douchebag, but not an outright train wreck, imo.

definitely the lesser of two evils! and if not one of them, then who? brit's mom (HAH!)? i don't think there's a single member of that train-wreck family that should be able to raise those kids. so he's definitely the lesser of a ton of evils.

Good perspective, Robyn! It's so easy to say someone could do a job better when they're not the ones currently screwing it up!

He MAY be the lesser of two evils, but I think the real question is: "What kind of mom is Shar?" (That's his first baby momma name, right?) Because, really, who's gonna be raising these babies if KFED gets his custody?
