Lindsay Lohan Admits She Has A Problem

Ll

It's a long time coming and I still say it's more about keeping her ass out of jail than truly wanting to sober up but, whatever. Lindsay finally speaks out after entering rehab for the THIRD time in six months, and what she has to say is ... well, see for yourself after the jump!

They say admitting you have a problem is the first step towards recovery, so let's hope that these words are really true for LiLo. Despite the snark I toss at her, I do hope she cleans up and gets healthy.

Linds2_blog_0 "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs.

Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case. No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone else for my conduct other than myself. I thank God I did not injure others. I easily could have.

I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so."

Glad to hear that the harsh sentence of seven misdemeanors and only one day of jail time has scared
some sense into her. She has to prove by January 1 that she's successfully completed a rehab program, serve her one whole day of jail time , and then perform ten days of community service.

Oh, to be famous.

Wait, does successful completion of a rehab program mean she's got to go more than a month sober once she's out of rehab? If so, girlfriend might be in trouble!

I like the Linds. I really hope she gets her shit together.

I can't help but like her too. She's obviously out of control. Plus, I feel like she actually has some talent that's being wasted. LOVED Mean Girls.

As far as getting off light, she did go to rehab. Twice!(For any real length of time, anyway) Also doesn't she have to complete an 18-month alcohol education program? That's what they said on the radio this morning.

Nicole Ritchie only served about 45 minutes for her second DUI. And what's her excuse for her behavior? As far as I can tell she doesn't have shit to deal with. Admittedly she didn't grow up with ideal parents, but who does? There are worse things than being the child of- gasp- divorce!

Whereas it looks like LL is one of those nightmare child stories where the kid had to work for a living to support nightmare parents! Judy Garland/ Patty Duke-like. You've got to wonder, who really loves her except a pre-teen sister and a kid brother? (And she supports them...) It's really sad.

Man, where did that come from? I'm fried. Need weekend now.

I have a hard time believing those are Lindsay's words. Her manager and publicist are behind that statement. I wonder if Lindsay had any say in it.

I do hope she gets the help she needs to stay clean. I, too, feel sorry for her. Look at her parents. I think most of us would have drug problems if we had her parents.

Kirsten

I agree with Michelle. LiLo didn't write that. It's a publicist thing fo' sho'.

Anyways, I'm glad she's back in rehab. Sad about the lack of charges. I think that would have sobered her up more than anything.

Wait a sec -- didn't she in fact hurt someone in the last thing? By hitting him or running over him with his truck and messing up his leg!??
