Quote of the Day/Week/Month/Year/Take Your Pick
From Allure's interview-less article on Britney Spears (which is actually waaaay more interesting than the photo session outtakes, especially the part where they pretty much straight-up call her bipolar.):
...I kept thinking about a conversation I'd had with the musician Moby several days earlier. Moby had produced a song for her 2003 recording, In The Zone, called "Early Mornin'." He told me she was sweet and far savvier than people knew. She was also troubled in ways he didn't understand. He gave me questions to ask: What's your favorite city in the world? Describe your perfect party; describe your perfect day. "When you have a damaged four-year-old," Moby said, "you don't ask, 'What's wrong?' You say, 'Here's a crayon, draw something nice.'"
Dude! (More Brit news after the jump.)
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Britney's new official single Gimme More (the one she filmed all that stripper pole footage for), is an "up-tempo club cut produced by Timbaland protégé Nate ''Danjahandz'' Hills," AND that we might hear it as early as next week.
Insiders all say it's a great song and "funky." A full album is expected to drop this fall, "with little to no promotional setup." Hmmm....

Girlfriend needs an inpatient unit, STAT. This is just getting sadder and more troubling every day.

I bought this issue last week, for the makeup tips - not Britney - but of course I did read the article and I totally agree with missbanshee - it's very interesting.
It's impressive that Allure accepted the piece the writer wrote about waiting for Britney, since there was obviously no interview with Britney. They could have just printed the pictures or scrapped the whole idea. Britney kept that writer waiting for 4 days, and then didn't even show up! Girls got a boat-load of issues, there's no doubt, but at some point you've got to stop blaming mommy and take responsibility for your own actions.
