TWO New Britney Singles
Remember that super sad and pathetic song we all heard about a week ago? The one that was supposed to be Brit Brit's new single? Well, it's not. To get a load of her new singles, jump on ahead.
Her first single, "Gimme More" ... just go listen to it. Sounds a tad bit like "Slave" if I'm not mistaken, but ... it's actually good. And most likely the pole-dancing song.
But wait, there's more. If you keep scrolling down on the same website, you'll hear "Cold As Fire". I had a hard time getting it to buffer fast enough, but once it did ... it sounded a lot like the first song in some strange way to me. But different enough to become an instant club hit.
They both are.
Please don't shoot me for saying it. I'm not saying they're really good songs (especially the "break it down" part of Cold As Fire ... wtf), I'm just saying all the twinks at the local gay bar will be jumpin' around this weekend to these two songs.
So Brit is apparently not going anywhere.

Maybe the fellas would be willing to exchange these man-club hits for some 'consulting'. Seriously, doesn't Brit-Brit need a phalanx of gays to tidy up her style issues? Kind of tit for tat? (SORRY!)

Can we say auto-tuned up the wazoo? She probably won't be able to do these live without lip-synching. Not that they're not kinda fun (I can definitely see these working in a club atmosphere esp. Gimme More) but it's just...all so processed. This kind of music doesn't quite work on stage. But she'll do it anyway. She's, according to one of the songs, a "living legend." Ha.

Overprocessed? Kind of like the photos above? You don't say!

now come on. everything about britney is so clearly all natural, no processing or tuning at all! why would her music be ANY different!?

I am ashamed. I LOVE Gimme More in a way that is not natural, and it will be a radio favorite of mine when it comes on.
Cold as Fire however is wrong on so many levels that I hope it dies a quick and painful death.
