MamaPop Weekly TV News Report: Where is the Love?

This week has been about the drama - not in the form of new TV shows - but in the form of irritated celebrities speaking out about other celebrities. Come on, kids. Let's play nice, shall we?
- Who thought that the drama would leave with Rosie? Not me! It looks like Barry Manilow won't appear on The View as long as he has to "share a stage" with Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Who knew Barry Manilow could be so angry? Surely that hair has special peace-making powers.
- Tate Donovan, who is now playing on Damages, has come out saying that the kids on The O.C. were difficult to work with. One of those difficult kids is Adam Brody who has signed on to play the lead in "Death in Love". Another difficult kid - Rachel Bilson - has just landed a gig on Chuck. Since I've seen the premiere of Chuck and loved it, and since I love Bilson and Brody, I'm saying "Screw You!" to Mr. Donovan.
- Britney Spears has been all over the headlines this week but here is a headline that has nothing to do with her VMA performance or her custody battle. It looks like her ex-husband, Kevin Federline has landed himself a regular gig on the CW drama One Tree Hill. Several questions pop into my head. Federline can act? That show is still on?
- Keri Matchett, from the dead drama Invasion, is joining the cast of ER in November. I wasn't a big fan of her on Invasion, but that might have been because she was pregnant with aliens. I'm betting her character on ER won't have the same affliction.
- My favorite Snarky TV Entertainment reporter, Joel McHale, was supposed to be getting his own sitcom on NBC called The IT Crowd. It now looks like it may never air. This saddens me because I want Joel McHale to be successful, but I'm coping because I also don't want them replacing him on The Soup. I'm selfish like that.
- The CW is launching a new show this season called Aliens in America. Last week they aired it at a College Prep school in Chicago to get feedback from the students. It looks like it got positive feedback, which is good. A stunt like that could have totally backfired if the kids hated it, and I am happy that Luke (Gilmore Girls) is going to be back on my TV this season.

If Joel leaves The Soup, I will weep a river of tears.

Oh, and I loathe Elisabitch H. with every fiber of my being. And she's a friggin' fundie moron as well. This has no merit as a comment, but I just couldn't help myself. Woo, Manilow!!!!!!!

With you on both counts, girl.
Also- Tate Donovan was the FIRST guy to seriously dump Jennifer Aniston after years together. And before that? WAS ENGAGED to and dumped Sandra Bullock. Also Lauren Graham (not sure if he dumped her or not but he totally broke the other two's hearts). Not that I care one bit about The O.C. kids but I never liked him. He can't recognize a good woman.
