MamaPop Weekly TV News Wrap-Up
Welcome to another week of Fall TV lifelines being handed out in the looming shadow of the WAG strike. We're getting quite a few reports of extensions and script requests and hardly any cancellations. I'm not sure what this means, but I'm not complaining. (Well, not much anyway.)
- I'm new to the Frakkin' bandwagon (I'm only a few episodes into Season 1) but for those of you breathlessly waiting for season 4 of Battlestar Galactica, this will be sad news. It looks like season 4 has been pushed further back and now won't premiere until April 2008. However, there is still the 2-hour TV movie, Razor to look forward to which will air on Sci Fi November 24th.
- Our favorite HIMYM playboy picked quite a rockin' costume this year. Seeing Neil Patrick Harris as a bloody clown may have made my Halloween officially complete.
- Grey's Anatomy is the first show openly announcing green set changes as they are now banning plastic bottles during filming. They're going to use a thermos with the show's name on it. Good for them. Maybe they can spend more money on promoting the show now since I never see any commercials for it. (Sarcasm intended.)
- Another one of my new guilty pleasures, Dirty Sexy Money is set to deliver more scripts to ABC. As is CW's Reaper. This means that almost every show I'm watching this season is still on and possibly will get full season pick-ups (barring the writer's strike, of course) and I may be in shock over this. Usually the shows I love the most are axed first. Does this mean my taste is getting better or the rest of America's is getting worse?
- Samantha Who? is also on the list of shows getting more script requests but some of the reviews have not been that great. I personally love the show but I'm scared to get too attached. I don't want to ruin my previously mentioned hot streak.

I really like Samantha who, but I like the supporting characters better than the lead. Her friends and mom and ex-boyfriend are hysterical, but it is on opposite Hereos, a must see in our house.

Thoughts of the strike give Bossy sweaty pits.

Amen, Bossy. Amen.

I adore both Neil Patrick Harris and HIMYM, but I screamed like a small child when I saw that picture. Clowns? DO NOT WANT.
I'm waiting and worrying about the fate of "Big Bang Theory" because damn if I wasn't HOWLING laughing at last night's episode.

I was going to FINALLY watch BBT at the suggestion of all the MamaPop'ers but I accidentally recorded "Little People Big World" instead. Grumblecakes.

I think BBT's already been picked up for a full season.?
I really like Samantha Who?, but I could see it getting cancelled. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

missbanshee, I'm so with you. The Doppler Effect costume? Still laughing.

Is it horrible that I was actually secretly hoping some of my shows would get cancelled?
Let me explain...we have DVR, which gives us the luxury of recording 2 shows at one time. But I'm actually feeling stressed, as I try to watch all of these damned awesome shows in a timely manner!
I really wanted to watch Samantha Who...but I already have 2 other shows being recorded at that time. Seriously... I hope it's still around when the reruns begin!
Zoot, I am totally with you.. LOVE Dirty Sexy Money and Reaper!
Nip/Tuck is on tonight - finally!
And where is Medium?? Haven't seen anything about it yet, but they damn well better put it on soon (and NOT in one of my already twice-booked timeslots, pleeease!).

@DianaCLT - I've already had to take some shows off my list b/c I'm overbooked! Also - re: Medium - it will be back on in January (of course, I have no idea how/if the writer's strike will affect that)
