Dogs on the Catwalk

Did you know there was a Dog Walk of Fame that has been unveiled in Battersea Park, London on November 5th?   Included are the obvious, Lassie and Toto, but also included is Fang from Harry Potter fame.  Looking good here on the left.

In other dog news, I must have missed the hub bub about the humping dog. “Humping Dog USB Drive Robs Us All of Precious Dignity”.  If your imagination can’t quite picture it, here is a youtube clip.            

I also found that DUDES, there is a magazine called HollywoodDog, featuring of course, stars and their dogs.  Although the cover of their website currently features Lori Loughlin from Full House.   

I have seen a t-shirt saying “dog people are the new cat people”, but I cannot find a link to it anywhere.  Ever since Paris Hilton started toting around Tinkerbell in her Louis Vuitton purse, there seemed to be a boom as wee dogs as accessories. Now there is The Diva Dog and Celebrity Dog Watcher, which is where I found the rumour that Oprah is leaving $30 million to her dogs in her will she also apparently calls her dog Sophie her daughter. 

I am generally a cat person, but I can’t see either of my kitties sitting in a handbag while I shop.  For now, cats in Hollywood will be regulated to being spinster companions.

I am confused by Oprah's legs in that picture. Are those leashes wrapped around them? Really bad shoes? Or some woefully designed trousers?

I am picking up my puppy on Saturday (yay Stella!) but I really don't get a lot of this. Splurging is a little bit but leaving ridiculous amounts like Leona Helmsley or this rumored Oprah thing is just horrifying when there are PEOPLE who could desperately use it.

I'm agreeing with Marianne on both accounts - particularly about the rubber rain boots. If you click on the pic to see a larger version, you can see that they are boots (ugly-ass boots, however, if you ask me!).
