Friday Eye Candy: The Christmas Movies Edition
Who doesn't love the barage of Christmas movies that hits every year (earlier and earlier, at that)? One or two new ones come out every year, and in celebration of this, and the holiday they try to represent, I bring you the hotties of the Christmas Movie phenomenon! Mind you, some of these aren't all good movies, but they're Christmas movies, which is (after all) the theme d'jour. Enjoy!
Will Ferrell - Elf - This funnyman is cuter than his elf-costume implies ... how can you not love a man that can make you laugh while keeping your kids entertained?!
Jimmy Stewart - It's A Wonderful Life - While I may not be a sucker for the oldies but goodies like most people I know, I can definitely recognize an attractive man when I see one!
Bill Pullman - While You Were Sleeping - One of the greatest chick flicks to come out of the 20th century in my opinion, this cutie scores one for the "average joes" in the world easy!
Bing Crosby/Danny Kaye - White Christmas - Now, this kind of old movie I can get behind. Dancing and singing are the only way to go for me if it was filmed before the 60's. And who doesn't love this movie? Or these men?
Macaulay Culkin - Home Alone - You can debate over the hotness of this kid as he grew up. You can even debate with me over the spelling of his name (I looked it up!). What you can't debate is the greatness of this movie, and how cute that kid was when he was ten.
Tim Allen - The Santa Clause - Yes, I think he's hot. What?
Vince Vaughn - Fred Claus - He's so money and he doesn't even know it! Say what you will about how this man looks once he's put on a few pounds. I definitely wouldn't toss him out of bed!
Chevy Chase - Christmas Vacation - I don't get it, really. But my boyfriend said it's not a christmas post without Clark Griswald. So there you go.
Dylan McDermott - Miracle On 34th Street (remake) - I could've included a shot from the original, but then I wouldn't have been able to bring you that shot!
Ryan Reynolds - Just Friends - Okay, so the movie sucked. And he definitely didn't look like this in it. But the fact that he can look like this whenever he wants? Magic.
Ben Affleck - Surviving Chrismas - Yet another horrible Hollywood Christmas movie. And possibly another excuse to bring you a hottie picture.
Our Mamapop mascot just wanted to stop by and prove he can look just as good in black and white as he can in color. And wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday!

I think Tim Allen is hot. The older he gets the hotter he gets.
He's a two-fer since he also has Christmas with the Kranks on his filmography.

Dylan McDermott was also in "Home for the Holidays," a movie which I just saw this week, and holy hell, how have I missed such a great movie all these years? I don't even live in a cave!

Fred Astaire and Bing Crosby in "Holiday Inn", the movie that introduced the song "White Christmas". And you see Fred Astair in a tux more than once, what more can ask for?!

Yet NOBODY listed from the BEST Christmas movie evah: Love Actually. Seriously, no Colin Firth? No Liam Neeson? No Hugh Grant or Alan Rickman? I mean, if we're posting Tim Allen and Ryan Reynolds, Ben Affleck and Chevy Chase, and even Home Alone kid...
I'm chalking this up to too much buttered rum causing muddled thinking today...

Um, how could you NOT have mentioned A Christmas Story?? Only the best Christmas movie ever! Sure TNT over plays it for 24 hours between Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but that movie will NEVER cease being funny. The best quotes come from there, ranging from "Fra-gee-lay, must be Italian" to "Glowing sex in the window" to "Wow-wee, a zepplin!" and "He looked like a tick about to pop", to give only a few examples.
But thanks for the Ryan Reynolds and Christian Bale pics. Those were great.

Totally LOVE Christmas Vacation. Definately my favorite Christmas comedy. But I agree totally with the comment about Love Actually. I Love Love Love, Love Actually and all of it's British cuties.

I agree with Melissa about Love Actually. And every week I am just stunned by Christian Bale. May he always be mascot.
