From the "Got a Lot of Time on Your Hands, Eh?" File: The Final Whisper in Lost in Translation
Well, it's taken close to four years, but somebody FINALLY messed around with the sound enough to allegedly reveal what Bill Murray whispers to Scarlett Johansson in the final scene of Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation.
If you don't want to know...well, don't watch it, although I'm not sure this is a total for-sure 100% slam dunk here. Still sounds a lot like SHSHHSHSHH BLUBBBSHHHHS OKAY? to me. So I'm going to continue to believe that Bill Murray was reminding ScarJo of the importance of baby steps, man. Baby steps.
What do y'all think? Did they actually figure it out or is there additional trickery afoot?

I think he said "the egg sandwiches on the lunch cart today look suspicious, ok?"

Am I the only person on the planet who hated this movie?

I'm not convinced. Who says "I have to be leaving?" You'd say "I have to leave."
One of my all time favorite movies.

I don't care what he said; I still love it

Jesus. I've spent way too much time sitting in front of the speaker with the volume turned waaaay up trying to figure this line out. I've declared it futile, and then I've gone back and tried, and tried again. And then declared it futile again.
I don't think this is correct. "I've got to be leaving" just isn't a typical sentence structure, even for Bob, even after being in a foreign country for a week.
The "I won't let that come between us" part sounds pretty right on, though. I like to think that Bob and Charlotte maintain their friendship (and more?) after the end, though I'm sure some people would shoot me for thinking that.
I love this movie.

I have to be the odd one out here and say that I hated this movie. I think it was a case of expecting more because of the rave reviews.
