"Dr." Phil Has Compromised Lynne and Britney's Relationship

I'm not doing too well at this "not writing about this story" thing, am I?  But Lynne Spears is pissed at Dr. F*&% Phil, and I can't resist telling you about it.

Lou Taylor, spokesman for the Spears family, went on the Today show today and lambasted Dr. F*&% Phil, saying he violated the family's trust when he spoke to the media about his visit to Britney in the hospital.  He also said that the show that Dr. F*&% Phil has been saying is canceled was never scheduled to happen in the first place.

The best part: "What's wrong with Dr. Phil's statement is that he made a statement. The family, basically, extended an invitation of trust for him to come in as a resource to support them, not to go out and make public statements."

Oh snap!

Apparently, DFP's meddling and famemongering in the wake of Britney's breakdown have caused a rift.  Taylor said he has compromised not only Lynne's relationship with Britney, but the relationship between the two sisters as well (Taylor is both Lynne's and Jamie Lynn's business manager).

My tongue, it cannot be held: we all agree that Dr. F*&% Phil is a choad, yes?  This certainly only paints him as just that much choadier, obviously.  But  I have to ask: why, of all the people you could call when your kid is in crisis, would you call Dr. F*&% Phil in the first place?  He's not really a psychiatrist, he has a freaking talk show, and any single other ACTUAL doctor would be about a million times more likely to a) actually help and b) not talk to the media about it.  I mean, I'm glad that he's getting this public dressing down and that some sense seems to be emerging from the rest of the Spears clan, but I'm just so baffled about that call being made in the first place. 

Alright, thus endeth my Monday morning quarterbacking.  Dr. F*&% Phil got his comeuppance, and I am returning to my regularly scheduled thinking about anything else at all now.

It's tough because neither party is a reliable source for information and both parties are noted fame whores so how do you choose one to believe? The Spears family was dumb to begin with by calling him.
