What Else Is There to Say?
It's my turn to post here, but I can't stop reading about stuff that Mamapop has technically already covered today. Because: Britney. Ambulances. Mental breakdowns. Drunk? Drugs? Babies in ambulances? Bobby Effing Trendy? Emergency custody hearings.
You know how I get about this girl.
I am usually beyond amused by how the few remaining Britney fansites attempt to spin her crazy behavior into something positive (or usually, how it is All Someone Else's Fault), but today, the string of updates over at BreatheHeavy.com is just kind of heartbreaking.
Brit. We really do wish you well. Honest. Just...get well.

It is all so sad. Just so stinking sad.

It's depressing. I'm tired of watching her self-destruct, I just want her to get the help she needs already.

Having just recently had to face the fact that I needed treatment for depression, it's been hard watching this poor girl unravel. I keep thinking "God, could that have been me with enough stress and resources and lack of any real support?"
I guess it can happen to anyone.

I do hope she gets the help she desperately needs, but I am actually more disturbed by the paparazzi in this case. Not sure why it shocks me anymore, but snapping pictures while Britney is loaded into the ambulance, then every major news outlet covering the story, complete with video? What does it say about us or our society that Britney's saga is so compelling?

The whole thing is just breaking my heart. People (including me) have laughed about all the antics, but it is serious. And those poor kids.
