Lindsay Lohan Hacks Up a Smoker's Lung All Over Marilyn Monroe's Memory

In an another case of young celebutards pretending to be classic film icons they have no business imitating (COUGH COUGH PARIS), Lindsay Lohan has recreated Marilyn Monroe's famous "The Last Sitting" photoshoot, which occurred just six weeks before she died of a drug overdose, for New York Magazine.

Bert Stern, who took the original shots of Monroe, also shot the Lohan photos, something she considered to be "a great honor." Which I guess I can agree with. I'm just not sure I agree with Stern's choice of a stand-in, as Marilyn worked her voluptuous tail off in Hollywood while trying to be taken seriously as an actress instead of a rack o' boobs, while Lindsay...well, Lindsay was really cute in Mean Girls and The Parent Trap. And while SHE certainly believes she's the greatest young talent of her generation...she also doesn't necessarily believe that she has to actually show up to work, or anything like that.

In the accompanying interview, Lindsay talks about Heath and Marilyn and the tragedy of it all, and what the entertainment industry can do to young stars, and a very long rationalization for doing the photos and how Marilyn was "taking control back" by appearing nude (except for the whole "drunk" and "weeks away from suicide" bit, sweetie) and blah blah blah THE POINT IS YOU CAN SEE LINDSAY'S BOOBIES.

Oh, and her little sister Alli was present at the photoshoot.

BLECH- these "celebutards" (I love that term) need to do some actual real work of ANY value before they are anywhere NEAR the same level as Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn. SIGH.
And I AM also disturbed that Lindsay's little sister was present....that girl has less and less of a chance of NOT following in her big sister's drunken footsteps.

I was shocked when I saw these pictures. Lindsey COULD be a pretty girl, and could have taken FAR better pictures than these.

But these photos are awful. They are not flattering to Lindsey OR the icon she's supposed to be "honoring".

The wig looks awful. The forced imitation is awkward. And she looks 10 years older than she actually is... and not in a good way.

I would have expected better from Stern.

Yuck. These would have been stunning if 1) they were not an imitation of anyone; 2) she left her hair natural; and 3) Her breasts weren't over inflated and airbrushed nipples.
