Paul McCartney does not want to hold Heather Mills' hand
Paul McCartney and Heather Mills were in a London courtroom yesterday to reach a financial settlement in their acrimonious, high-stakes divorce. At stake, McCartney's 1.6 billion fortune. Because for some insane reason, this couple did not have a pre-nup. Really Paul? Even Britney had a pre-nup!
We do not know the outcome of the hearing. Unlike most British court cases, divorce proceedings are heard in private. The windows of the oak-paneled courtroom were papered over to stop prying eyes, the door plastered with signs reading "No Admittance _ Strictly Private." Think about what would happen in the U.S. if we had those rules. TMZ might be out of work!
McCartney went into court accompanied by his lawyer, Fiona Shackleton. Mills, who fired her legal team late last year, is believed to be representing herself. This woman is a moron, don't represent yourself, ever. Although I would pay money to watch her cross-examine McCartney.
"Current estimates suggest that Heather is likely to receive anything from 50 million to 100 million pounds as her final settlement," said Suzanne Kingston, a family law expert. That sum is equivalent to $100 million to $200 million.
Legal experts said several factors that would be taken into account, including McCartney and Mills' 4-year-old daughter, Beatrice; the relative brevity of their marriage; and that most of McCartney's wealth was generated before he married Mills in 2002.

Also, I always wonder whether his older kids are all, "Duh, we told you so, Dad!"

I heard last night that she was all cheating on him with some tv producer while they were married!! So scandalous!! And she is a MORON AND A HALF if she is representing herself....I imagine that his older kids are slapping him silly with the I-TOLD-YOU-SOS, but that aside....I hope he gets Beatrice and all the money. Even if he was stupid enough to not sign a pre-nup...you think it was the hollow leg that fooled him? (OH SNAP!!)
