Penn and Franco Pull Up Their Tube Socks and Find Love
Flickr user Troublepup uploaded a photo set of the latest flash from the Castro: Sean Penn's turn as legendary gay politician Harvey Milk in the film Milk, directed by Gus Van Sant. I adore this candid photo, look at those two famous guys! It's like Jeff Spicoli and Daniel Desario finally found love together. Love and a whole lot of weed.
Towelroad has more of the story from San Francisco, where Milk still looms as both an icon and a sad testament to loose cannons who just cannot wrap their tiny minds around Teh Gays. If you haven't yet had the chance to rent The Times of Harvey Milk, go buy an extra box of Kleenex first, not that that will keep your heart from breaking while you watch it.
In the meantime let us be gay, for the film will be out in November, and there will be enough James Franco to go around.
