At first I thought the little guy must be some kind of alien, and I was going to make a joke about anal probes.
But then it switched on me and it seemed our unlucky subject was the one looking as if he were getting the probe.

Man, I wish I could do that with my eyes. It would scare the sh!t out of my coworkers.

AmyC65: are you trying to say that you've almost got me pigeonholed? heh.
Posted by: sweetney | February 01, 2008 at 06:01 PM
I am powerless in its gaze.

Not to be the terribly picky biological anthropologist, but I'm 99.99999% sure that this animal is not in fact a lemur, but rather a Tarsier. You see, one of the main differences is the orbit of the eye, it is far larger in tarsiers.
In fact, I refer to these little animals as the aliens of the primate world while teaching comparative anatomy of the lower primates. Here is a great comparison of a tarsier (on the left) vs lemur (on the right):

Tracey- Nope. If I had you pigeonholed, I'd be able to guess what you were going to post ahead of time. You always surprise, but there's a certain freaky flavor that runs through your posts I can recognize. In a good way. :)
