Punk'd Amongst Us

Hilton_guru2 That little post I did Thursday that I thought was so clever, about Paris Hilton's new fake guru? I got it half right (the guy was a fake), but I still got punked. Ms. Hilton was in put up to the whole thing by Ashton "Chicken Legs" Kutcher. Kutcher's new series, Pop Fiction, is a prank show targeting paparazzi, gullible gossip sites (Hi, there!), and the public's insatiable hunger for celebrity news. It debuted last night.

Clip after the jump.

Or you can watch the whole episode here.

Reaction on the world wide web lands everywhere between How dare these stupid millionaires mock the media that made and keep them famous?! to It's genius, because every grubby little gossip outlet is making up ridiculous stories about these people and they deserve to be mocked.

Oh, let's just have one more look at Chicken Legs:

I watched this episode and I have to say it is brilliant. Reminds us all to keep it in perspective.

I, too, think it is brilliant.

I have about 10% more respect for Paris after watching this. Given that I had about -5% respect before I watched it, we're still only up to 5% but ...

Mostly while watching the episode I kept thinking "Why does she ACT so stupid all the time? They would leave her alone if she didn't act like such a bimbo/moron!"

This show looks to be pretty funny actually...

I read today that the premise for this show came from none other than Anna Nicole!

WOAH!

Good premise, poor execution. Unfortunately, it's just not that funny.

Looks like the fat K-Fed pic was from Ashton too. No wonder we couldn't recognize him, he was wearing a fat suit.
