George Clooney Hates The Internets
This, my friends, is heartbreaking: George Clooney thinks that the Internet is a bad place filled with pathetic, angry people.
And all this time I thought that for sure he was an avid MamaPop reader and struggling mightily to prevent himself from falling madly in love with me, just on the basis of my magnificent prose. And, also, that he, like myself, regarded the Internet as a vast utopia of love and peace and generosity of spirit, where we all love one another, freely, without regard for anything other than the purity of our hearts and the sparkle of our wit.
Au contraire, dear Internet: he hateses us. He thinks we're mean:
Quoth Clooney:
“A few years ago, I went to check out this website that someone had talked about. There’s like, a thousand people sitting in dark rooms trashing you. Brutal! You’re like, ‘Wow, dude’.
“You see way too many angry people (on the internet). I remember getting off the machine and thinking, ‘Never, ever again’. I’d rather live in my own happy, quiet world where I think that everyone is nice.”
Oh, well. When you put it like THAT.

Oh GEORGE!
I thought we were FRIENDS!
*sob*

I'm sorry, but am I really the only person who CAN NOT STAND this man? *Hate*
He reminds me of that guy in high school who thought that he was /so/ important. I'm sorry, you're just not that special, George.

Sorry Sils, but yeah, I think you might be the only person who cannot stand this man.
Me? Well, I love him. Especially now that he's using his hotness for good. Like bringing attention to those in Darfur, doing documentaries, etc. The George he used to be would have been talking about his pot-belly pig. But the George he is now knows that the paps follow him everywhere - so he goes to places that need attention. He uses his powers for the greater good. Now - if he'd just stop dating the 20-something waitresses...

It's kind of like my opinion of Angelina Jolie though, do as much good as you want -- you're still a homewrecking tramp.
With George, he just stricks me as a man pig. He can't be in a mature relationship, he can't stop acting like a 20 year old d-bag, it makes it hard for me to take the good he does seriously. I mean, kudos for putting time and money into the cause but it doesn't mean I want to hang out with him or I worship at the temple of George.
Kind of like Oprah. (Although, I'm pretty sure now that I've said that she'll have me assassinated.)
