Is Mariah Carey Getting Married?

Quite possibly, given the big ol' rock she's been sporting, which a source told Page Six was an engagement ring from....

Supercute Nick Cannon!  (Seriously, I'd forsake even Shia for Nick Cannon.)  He is star of a really boring MTV show, but redeemed by his appearance in my guiltiest pleasure, Roll Bounce.  He and Mariah go back like babies with pacifiers... uh, or at least for the last few weeks that they've been seen hugged up in various clubs in Vegas.  And now she's rocking an enormous rock, which someone close to them says he put on her finger.  HMM.  Very mysterious, especially given the following coy quote from Mr. Cannon (via MTV.com):

I can't even know what to say. She's probably the most festive, remarkable person I've ever met. Good friend.  Rumors happen. They do.

This is particularly amusing to me because my daughter has been running around for a couple of weeks telling me and everyone else that I am "a berry festive person," which I now take to mean that Nick Cannon will buy me an enormous diamond too.  Sweet.

I just wrote about Nick and Mariah over on Highbrid Nation and I was interested in seeing what others had to say. It's really looking official. Nick is indeed "wild'n out" and Mariah's mid-life crisis is in full swing. I know Nick has dough but how does he just keep dropping 2 million plus on engagement rings? i don't care how much money you have. That's a waste of money. He could have fed a village of starving Africans for one year with that money. What a dummy.
