Unbreak Her Heart: Toni Braxton Hospitalized

I wouldn't ordinarily consider this kind of thing particularly newsworthy - celeb feels unwell, celeb goes to hospital, celeb's rep says that celeb is 'doing fine' - except that a) it's Toni Braxton, and I used to groove on Toni Braxton, once upon a time sometime way back in the mid-nineties, for, like, five minutes, and b) her condition - something to do with heart inflammation - is just too poetic, given her playlist.

So I couldn't resist.

There's not much to the story - it's pretty much as I described above (celeb feels unwell, celeb goes to hospital, etc, etc) - and, yes, we know that Toni's fine, and that her heart does not, in fact, need unbreaking because it wasn't broken in the first place, except, of course, for that minorish detail of an inflammatory heart condition, if you count that kind of thing as heart-breaking.

Which, I think one could make a claim for. She's a lovely R&B singer with two small boys and if she were to suddenly keel over from swollenheartitis I would - for seriously - be sad. So color me relieved that she's actually fine and that I get to make a little gentle funny punning on the parallels between her biggest hit and her medical history because FOR REAL that would become unfunny REALLY fast if anything did happen to her.
