Californication Star's Husband Dies Unexpectedly

Fair warning: this story is totally depressing. I apologize ahead of time.
Martin Kelly, a plastic surgeon known for his charitable facial reconstruction surgeries and the husband of Californication star Natasha McElhone, died suddenly yesterday at his London home. He was 42.

Forty. Two.

The Daily Mail reports that McElhone is in L.A. working on the new season of Californication and is, understandably, "devastated." Kelly and McElhone have two sons, eight-year-old Theo and four-year-old Otis. And if that weren't heartbreaking enough, McElhone is pregnant with the couple's third child. They were about to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. McElhone met Kelly when she was 15.

Kelly's medical colleagues suspect a heart attack and believe that virus that Kelly had earlier this month may have done some undetected damage to his heart.

I just don't even know what else to say. That is the saddest damn thing.

Jesus Christ! Last night I couldn't sleep because I suddenly had the heebie jeebies that something would happen to my husband. This is NOT HELPING.

Lisalisa - listen to whatever it is!!!! I don't mean to be all chicken little but seriously listen to your inner voice! I wish I had listened to my inner warnings last year when my hubby (age 42) went in for a knee replacement surgery! He ended up contracting MRSA staph infection and was given less than a 10% chance of surviving. He's still with me (thank God!) but he was in the hospital for 6 months, he was in a coma for his birthday (43), missed Christmas, daughter's birthday, our anniversary. I kept telling myself to ignore my inner warnings now I'm seriously kicking my tail on not listening to myself.
So Lisalisa get your hubby to the doctor if only for your peace of mind.

This is one of the most tragic news I have heard in a long time.
I had the pleasure of writing emails with him for almost 2 years and all I can say is that he was a wonderful guy.
I just hope Natascha and the kids will be strong enough to go through this hell :(

Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of this lately and it is freaking me out- just last month a 43-year-old man I had just met died in his sleep- I think maybe from a heart attack. He seemed very healthy and happy so it was very shocking.

LisaLisa- Not sleeping, especially if you usually don't have a problem, can be your subconscious speaking to you. Don't panic or do anything crazy, just be cautious and take practical steps. I'm sure everything will be fine.
