I Know Who Killed Me: Watch It Because It Sucks!
So the premium cable channel Starz is getting ready to air Lindsay Lohan's disasteriffic bomb of a movie, I Know Who Killed Me, which they will openly market and promote as a truly terrible film -- worse than Gigli and Glitter. Combined! It's so bad, you've just GOTTA watch this shit! It's Lohans On A Plane!
Points for honesty?
I Know Who Killed Me won more Razzies than any film to date, and currently has a score of 8% on Rotten Tomatoes (which stems from 58 baaaad reviews and only five good reviews.) (And even one of those "good" reviews still deems it "terrible" but thinks that it's better than Georgia Rule or Just My Luck or Herbie Fully Loaded or...pretty much everything Linds has done since Mean Girls.)
With its promotional tongue firmly planted in its TV cheek, Starz trumpets the bad reviews in its ad promoting the movie. “A disaster that exerts a perverse fascination,” Variety wrote in its review last year, as it appears on the Starz ad.
While promoting bad movies is rare, it is not unheard of. A few years back, Starz did the same thing for 2003’s ”Gigli,” another poorly reviewed film that tanked at box offices. It starred Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. “It did extraordinarily well” for Starz, said the spokesman, although he did not have exact viewer figures. “More people watched on Starz than probably went to the theaters to see it.”
Will it work? I don't know. Several reviews I read specifically mentioned that I Know Who Killed Me even fails the so-bad-it's-good test and is just thoroughly plain old bad, so I wonder if the movie really has a shot at achieving the status of awesome-bad, like Showgirls. (Hey, at least in that one the strippers actually removed entire articles of clothing.)

I'll probably watch it, just because it's on Starz, and I pay $900 a month for the premium channels.
I will admit that I love Showgirls. Even when they show the edited version on VH1, I will stop what I'm doing to watch it. I might also have a slight girl crush on Gina Gershon.

I watched it last week or so because it was on Starz On Demand - and OMG. It is SOOOOOOOOO bad. Far worse than any of her other movies. It kind of ranks up there with Nicolas Cage's "Bringing out the dead" because seriously - I mourn those hours of my life wasted. I totally lost interest in this movie. Can't even remember how it ended. oh? Even the sex scenes sucked.

"...I pay $900 a month for the premium channels." BWAH! I feel your pain, Kim. When I recently tried to downsize my package when I had to get HD service (who knew there was separate service when you get a new TV?), they told me it would save me 47 cents to drop HBO. Bah!
Count me in on the Showgirls love.

You know what sucks the worst, to me personally? This movie was filmed in my hometown. The whole effing town had to bend over backward for this beotch, and she couldn't even make it look good? Seriously, there were actually petitions going around to block her from coming, because her demands were so high and the security was so ridiculous.
