Jessica Alba Might Have Given Birth This Weekend, Maybe... Wait - Hey! - Yes She Did!

The buzz on Saturday was that Jessica Alba had gone into labor, which, if true, would mean that there's a baby by now - because, hello, even the worst case scenarios for slow labors don't drag on for two days after you've been admitted to hospital (she's reported to have been seen being wheeled into Cedars-Sinai early Saturday) -  in which case I suppose that we might expect to get some confirmation soon.

BREAKING: Well, yep, sometime between my writing this late last night and checking the internets this morning, the rumor was confirmed - Jessica Alba gave birth this weekend

Which means that the witty prose I'd crafted about the fine art of celebrity baby delivery prediction is entirely meaningless now. Alba baby = here = nothing much to say other than congrats to the happy parents yadda yadda (and, also: baby girl, born June 7th).

Someone out there will be celebrating, I imagine. Perhaps not the Brangelina stork-watchers, but still. Think of it as another reason to eat cake for breakfast.

In 1978 my mom went into labor on a Thursday morning and didn't have me until 11:36 pm on Sunday. (By cesarean ultimately.)

Thank god times have changed. (Not in time to save me from the curse she's put upon my head for four days of labor, but still.)

I read that they named her Honor Marie Warren. Not too bad as far as celebrity babies go!
