Paparazzo Arrested for Stalking Jamie Lynn Spears

Celebrity photographer Edwin Merino was arrested earlier this week in Mississippi for stalking Jamie Lynn Spears.

Liberty, Mississippi authorities said that Merino wouldn't leave Spears and her fiance Casey Aldridge alone, and was apparently arrested after photographing them at a gas station.  Merino told the Associated Press in a conference call yesterday that he was actually 200 feet away from the couple using a long-range lens.  He believes that he was singled out because he was the only photographer there.*

Incidentally, Yahoo News says Merino is one of the photographers that got pictures of Britney Spears sans undies a few years ago.

After his arrest, Merino was driven by a deputy to an ATM to withdraw the cash to post bond ($1100).  He's due in court next week.

*Hey Ed, you're the only one there because this girl and her partner have fled the LA scene to GET AWAY FROM YOU AND YOUR ILK, and you're the only one who doesn't get it, apparently.  She's going to give birth any minute now, she's trying to have a normal life in a tiny town a zillion miles from you.  She's not seeking the attention of photographers and press, nor is she going anywhere where she should expect to have to deal with this nonsense.  Stop flying all over creation trying to cram a camera in her grill already.
