Nicole Kidman Has a Baby Girl!

Kidman

OMG! Celebrities continue to spawn! The human race is safe. For now. Angelina, it's all up to you now.

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was born...uh...today, Monday.

She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and everybody is doing "very well" rep PR release talky blah.

Husband Keith Urban dedicated his song "Better Half" to his "“very, very, very, very, VERY pregnant wife" during a concert in Nashville over the weekend. Clearly, he wasn't kidding.

Brace yourselves for the inevitable flurry of Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes stories re: everything from what gifts they send to Katie's heartbreak that she isn't knocked up again to Tom's heartbreak over Katie's refusal to get knocked up again and absolutely nothing mentioning the fact that Nicole actually already has two children, oh yeah THEM.

Seriously, did she carry that baby in her boobs? That is the only place she looks even remotely pregnant in that photo.

I hate that the press acts like her other two children don't count because they are, on my goodness, ADOPTED. They are still her kids people!

JP

New celebrity trend: Conception Naming (naming your child after the day it was conceived). What other explanation could there be? Is Sunday a popular Australian name? She did so well with Connor and Isabella.

Someone please hose off Keith... he looks so greasy in that photo.

Christina

Sunday Urban. Sounds like yuppy casual.

Living in Nashville, I sort of root for them. Also, I'm the one that doesn't let slip the name of the baby-to-be b/c of the rude, "Oh, I don't like that name." comments.

BUT let's just pretend that Nic and I met up in her fave Starbucks and she causally mentioned the baby's name...I would have slapped her and told her that the pregnancy hormones had made her stupid. What other explanation is there for Conner and Isabella and then SUNDAY?

Suzy Q

Sunday? Seriously? WTF?

Missie

When I heard the name, my first thought was Keith's song Raining on Sunday, which is very sweet. Maybe that was the reasoning behind it?

Sunday is a weird name, but really? I am just glad they didn't name her Motel 6.

JP - And that's precisely why we're naming our new baby January Sofa Cushion.

Amanda

When I read the name, I immediately thought of the Blondie song "Sunday Girl."

JP

Amalah - Well, you can certainly jump on that bandwagon b/c you are a FAMOUS TV food judge, after all. Although I've always thought of January as more of a girl's name.

Really? That much of a backlash against Sunday? I actually liked the name. But, then again I wanted to name our baby Tuesday if it was a girl; my husband thought I was insane and perhaps you all would, too. Nicole's other two children were named Connor and Isabella long before those names were popular (at least in the US), so maybe she's a name pioneer.

Ha! I'm glad I read the comments. I so thought that the kid's name was Rose, and that the Sunday/Monday thing had to do with the TIME DIFFERENCE b/w here and Australia. Snort.
