I have no caption other than, "I want to trade places with this girl for one weekend. Maybe two. And I want to walk around in that very outfit, carrying a really large radio on my shoulder that blares Donna Summer classics. And then I want to eat crab cakes."

Does anyone else remember Christina Ricci in her teenage rebel days? You know...after Addams Family and before...everything else...? Anyway - I very distinctly remember a rather ample Ricci claiming that she would not fall into Hollywood pressures and be skinny just because that's what was expected. She claimed that she liked her curves and was comfy in her extra padding (fat, that is, not silicone - like so many other Hollywoodies). Hmmmm...

Remember when I used to have a nice rack and black hair?

Diana, Ricci has been pretty open about her battle with anorexia bulimia for a while now. (She mentioned it in interviews starting around 2002. There was one in Jane that I particularly remember.)
There's a chance she's healthy now and just working out and eating less, but she's been battling a poor body image for years. I want to say that it started when she was fairly young, too. Of course, when she was really sick she probably wouldn't have advertised that. And, when she did the Adam's Family she was barely more than a child, I don't think I'd so much accuse her of going back on her word as being naive abotu the pressures of Hollywood at that point.

Sure I puke into a toilet after every meal, but don't I look hot?!

Hey Sils -
I hadn't ever heard about her eating disorder. Thanks for the FYI. I was applauding her former 'tude about being comfortable in her curves, not condemning her for being in shape now. I've known far too many people with eating issues and disorders to mock it - but sad, because hers likely did begin once she stopped listening to her inner "I like me as I am" voice.
